Came in at 16.1 lbs. Was 3rd in the pier tourny. Then 4th (within 2 hrs), then 5th, and now out. Gotta get a bigger one to get back in the game. Still have til mid Nov before it ends.
P4 and Pat-tastic hit south Naples on 10-7-09 pre-dawn to chase our little finned friends. After a morning filled with slob snook zing-powing us on the jetties, a 30" catch and release golliath grouper, plenty of rolling tarpon, mackeral crashing acres of bait, lady fish by the bushel that would fight to hit a bare jighead, and a few nap-jacks (jacks so big they make you want to take a nap after you battle one) - we decided to head for the back country. At the very bottom of the outgoing tide, way back up on the mangroves, this beast jumped all over a 5" threadfin and put up an epic battle. She measured 30" long and 10 pounds on the boga grip, and she swam away to blast more bait tomorrow! We are truely blessed.
